Anant Pai (Uncle Pai) Google Doodle

Google Homepage Uncle PaiAnant Pai aka Uncle Pai Google Doodle

Today is the birthday of Anant Pai (popularly known as Uncle Pai), the main brain behind such classics like the Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle. Google decided to commemorate it with a special Google Doodle.

Tinkle was the staple diet of comics for kids all ages growing up. I remember the time when I used to wait with bated breath for the next issue of Tinkle so that I could read the next adventures of Suppandi, Kalia the Crow, Tantri the Mantri, Shikari Shambu, Nasruddin Hodja, Kapish and others.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Uncle Pai.Thanks for the memories.

Of course yes. The good ol’ days. The fact that you took time to go through the post shows that you too are a fan of his works :) Btw this is the best tribute that the Amar Chitra Katha house could get. As I see, the doodle is not only on the Google India webpage, it is also on the Google.com webpage.
