Elections.. A damp squib??….

Elections to 10 Lok Sabha constituencies were held on Thursday, the 30th of April 2009. In spite of all the bravado after the November 2008 militant attacks, where citizens held candlelight vigils and promised to vote back a better government, the polling percentages for Mumbai (the epicentre of the said event) was abysmal. Here’s the stats. Couldn’t the people postpone their “vacations” for a few days/weeks??…

Have Mumbaikars have lost the moral right to grumble and complain??…. I guess so….

Peace out…

PS: I voted… So I reckon I can still complain against the system. 😀 …

Cheers !!….

  1. Great blog..Keep writing..

    Got a chance???

Visit my blog and let me know as to what you feel about it..

  2. No one cares to vote these days. Even if I do care, then who do I vote for?? Not a single worthy candidate!!

  3. Well, I respect your opinion. There is an another option you could consider. Look up and search for the most qualified candidate contesting as an independent i.e. not from a main-stream party ,and vote for him/her. In this way you could exercise your right to franchise and not give into the unworthy candidate.. Cheers !!…
